Vasu Raja is Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at American Airlines. He leads all aspects of the airline’s Commercial and Customer organization including revenue performance, global network, partnerships and loyalty program. In his almost 20-year aviation career, he has led divisions across finance, planning, and marketing through some of the company’s most challenging and evolutionary times.

 

A Dallas native and proud Longhorn, Vasu graduated from the University of Texas at Austin where he currently serves on the Advisory Council for the College of Liberal Arts. Upon graduation, he joined Teach for America and taught for three years in Baltimore City Public Schools. He and his wife have two children at Alcuin, one in middle school and the other in upper elementary.
