Hanson likes to sew/quilt, paint with watercolors, make painted paper collages, and read all kinds of books.
Karen Hanson came to Alcuin from Kansas City in 1999, and the northeastern Ohio native has worn many hats along the way. She has been a Guide in the Lower and Upper Elementary levels, but now teaches art to both levels.
One of her favorite things to do is cook dinner with her husband Erik. Both love Italian food and have just started making their own fresh pasta. Hanson also likes to sew/quilt, paint with watercolors, make painted paper collages, and read all kinds of books, but her favorites have to be historical fiction.
On campus, you’ll typically see Hanson making something, trying out a new medium, or having fun with a group of kids while creating something beautiful.
